Cop Connection: Pulled Over.

*everyone mentioned in this post is a friend of mine which you can see here*
Here we gooooooo:

On Saturday night I was leaving my friend's party with Nick, heading to the Redbox across town. I was driving, like usual, and Nick was on the phone with Jake, because we were gonna meet him. Then we got to a stoplight that was yellow, usually I would stop. But I didn't because a.) I was feeling rebellious, and b.) my car isn't the best car in the world, so it might have completely fallen apart had I slammed on the brakes. Of course, the light turned red before I made it all the way through, good luck, right? Anyways, all of the sudden, Nick says, into the phone. "Awh crap." Yes, there was a cop at that light and I freaked out. I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed that the cop was turning around. Because I am not used to this sorta thing, I might have maybe swerved. . . a lot.
And said to Nick, "What do I do, should I pull over?! Even though his lights aren't on?!"
At that moment, the cop turned on his lights and Nick said to Jake, "Yup, we're getting pulled over, go to Lindsey's house. We'll be there soon."
The only place I could go was into a bank parking lot. Yes, a bank, in the middle of the night. Not good. The cop came to my window, he talked to me about why he pulled me over, ya know, the whole nine yards and  asked for licence, registration, and proof of insurance. Problem was, I couldn't find my current insurance. Not good.
Then guess what. ANOTHER COP CAR SHOWED UP! Yes. Me and two cop cars in a bank parking lot, what does that look like?! Gah. So he said, I'll be right back, let me know if you find your insurance. Less then a minute later, I found it. So, being me, all I did was stick my head out the window and yell, " I FOUND IT!!" Good going Lindsey.
After a few minutes the cop came back, accompanied with another cop on the passenger side (which scared me). He told me some very good things, including the fact that I was not getting a ticket!! Woo!
Then he said, "I hope you at least go pick out a good movie!"
Funny thing is, we were actually going to get 21 Jumpstreet. Yes, a movie about cops. I didn't tell him that one though. Anyways, he let me go, and I was so happy! After we were pulling away, I told Nick to call Jake back. . . funniest conversation ever. . . Something like this:
Nick: "Hey, I'm sitting in Lindsey's car right now as she is being cuffed and stuffed."
Jake: "No she's not."
Nick: No, really, we got pulled over then she just started yelling at the cop!!!"
Jake: *silence*
Nick: "Just kidding, we're heading to Redbox now, she really did get pulled over though!"

Okay, maybe it was a 'you-had-to-be-there-moment' but I think it's hilarious! :)

  1. That was really close! I can only imagine the rush and panic you felt while you’re dealing with the cops. Thankfully, they just asked you those necessary documents that you really have to bring with you every time you go behind the wheel. Luck was on your side! Cheers!
